Hands-on course: Operating Open Source Software
Community. Code. Collaboration.
Young researchers face various difficulties and challenges in the process of professional insertion. One of the main obstacles the early stage researchers face is the financial one. In an era in which meaningful research implies access to efficient software solutions, the subscription costs of the established IT products can be prohibitive. Open Source software can offer solutions for overcoming this problem. By knowing key Open Source capabilities, the ways to discover and operate them, Open Source software can become force-multipliers in the career debut of early stage researchers
